Fly-In Surgical Care · Chicago
Travel to Chicago for
surgeon-led minimally
invasive foot reconstruction.
For patients outside the Chicago area, Dr Tagge offers a structured fly-in pathway beginning with remote review, imaging assessment, and advanced telehealth consultation.
Patient Entry Point
If you are considering traveling for surgery,
you should not feel like you are guessing.
You should understand:
- Whether you are a candidate
- What treatment may involve
- How long you may need to stay
- Whether a fly-in / fly-out model is realistic
- What recovery looks like remotely
- How follow-up is handled
- Whether travel-based care is safe and appropriate
Step 01
Root
A bunion, neuroma, hammertoe, or forefoot condition is rarely just an isolated diagnosis. It may involve mechanical overload, pressure patterns, joint instability, nerve irritation, tendon imbalance, shoe conflict, or poor healing environment.
Step 02
Fix
Not every patient needs surgery. Not every patient needs an injection. The fix may include minimally invasive reconstruction, nerve decompression, cheilectomy, hammertoe correction, mechanical support, or biologic care.
Step 03
Heal
Healing is not left to chance. PRISM™ focuses on the recovery environment from the beginning — guided weight-bearing, biologic support, laser therapy, mechanical optimization, footwear planning, and structured follow-up.
Fly-In / Fly-Out Consideration
For select procedures, a shorter travel window may be possible.
This is not a one-size-fits-all model. The decision depends on the condition, procedure, safety, recovery support, and whether early postoperative needs can be managed appropriately.
The goal is not speed for its own sake. The goal is a safe, well-planned experience with clear expectations before travel.
